PBSS is headed up by director Alison Morton who works with a team of over 100 highly professional, hand-picked specialist translators with many years’ experience and a wide range of expertise. Thanks to its networks, PBSS also has access to a large pool of additional freelance translators. PBSS has recently integrated Déjà Vu software into its systems to provide translation memory and terminology databases to support its clients and to increase consistency and productivity.

How we started
PBSS started modestly in September 1994, providing administrative and some translation support (French, German, Spanish and Portuguese) to local businesses. Steadily acquiring regional, national and international clients and setting up a network of partnerships with specialists all over the world, by 1999 PBSS was able to offer all European languages. With the accession of new EU members PBSS became an official contractor to the European Commission Translation Service for Central and Eastern European languages in 2003. 

Our director
Alison Morton, a graduate in French, German and Economics, with a Masters' in History, has a background in central government and export credit insurance as well as SMEs, executive search and professional management in the voluntary sector (disability issues and equal opportunities).

PBSS belongs to the Association of Translation Companies and West Kent Chamber of Commerce and Industry  Alison Morton herself is an Associate of the Institute of Linguists (AIL), an Associate of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI) and belongs to the Institute of Directors. In her local community, she is a councillor and edits the award winning ‘Pembury Village News’ and co-edits its associated web site.
